I have been a user of SnagIT and am currently using version 5.0. I believe that newer is not always better, and that you need to find a balance between feature upgrades and the cost of those upgrades. After all, software companies are in business to make money — not just useful tools. Well, I hesitated in upgrading my SnagIT because I truly love the one I am using, and didn’t see any great advantage to make the switch to the latest, greatest version. Well, I needed SnagIT on a new machine so I decided to check out the latest version trial download. I fell instantly into the new groove of this software! First of all, the biggest and most welcomed change for me was the fact that you could continue to “snag” screen captures without having to process each one individually. SnagIT9 keeps them in a catalog then you have a multitude of ways to process them. I will enjoy my 30-day free trial, but I already know that I’ll be upgrading to this new version.
