Picasa 3.8 Release has “Face Movie”

The New version of Google’s Picasa Photo Organizing/Editing software has just gotten better. The coolest new feature is “Face Movie.” Combining the face recognition feature, I selected the Album of all of the photos that my daughter was in. I then told Picasa to make a face movie. What a great slideshow of memories! The software tries to keep the face in the same place and change the picture. What a quick way to make something for a birthday or other special occasion! Entering the World of Digital Scrapbooking

I have always been a crafter, but recently, I was introduced to the wonderful world of digital scrapbooking. I am now adicted! Here are my first pages:
I used the TCS Nature from ScrapGirls and the Pix6 Templates. I did alter the color of the paper using Hue/Saturation to get a more orange color for my layout. It was a bit of a trick getting the templates to work, but once I figured it out; I saved that as a guide so now if I want to use the template again, I just open it, resave it as a new name for the page I am working on, and change the paper! Super Quick. I have started doing that will all my template layouts.
I start with a 12×12 Transparent Layer for the Background Layer. Layer 1 is my template. Layer 2 is the Paper. I then select Layer 2 and press Ctrl-G (Command-G on Mac) to get them merged. I have found that if you put a few paper layers on, you can move them to create a neat look. Make sure you merge each layer.
I have joined both ScrapGirls montly clubs, and enjoy collecting digital accessories. It also doesn’t clutter up my basement like my other scrapbooking supplies does!
